I don't know, too! I'm living in Kriens, Switzerland. The factory of Bell was here an now there is a exposition in the local museum about Bell, where are showed some pictures of a "HELVETIC TRAM" in America.

Yes, but that's a 2S gondola! On the pictures you can see a tram!

It doesn't appear to be the Sandia Peak Tram.

There's a lot more photos here: http://www.colorados...sandiatram.html

I believe the cabins have been replaced since the original installation.
Do your records have the year(s) of installation or anything other for location than "America"? It's a big country, ya know.

Yes, but at chairlift.org you can see some photos of the old cabins! And they are not the same ones!

That is defiantly not Sandia peak I live 50 mi away and nowhere in NM looks that forested. I believe it is the original Stone Mountain tram in Georgia, In one of the display pictures you can see the confederate figures being carved from the mountain side. The tramway has since been replaced by a von roll in 1995.

Are you talking about the same Bell as the one who made airplanes and helicopters? Or a different one?

No! Bell was a steelwork company from Kriens (Switzerland, next to Lucerne) - The Bell Aircraft Corporation was from the USA.

Nice job, Vons. You have better eyes (or a better computer) than I have. I still can't see that carving!
