Mueller Grip Direction

Regarding Mueller grips: are/were different aluminum housings made for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation?

Does it matter which direction the housing travels (movable grip with aluminum block or fixed grip first)?

Any advice appreciated

They did make aluminum housings for each rotation - however we've got both on our Mueller. The manufacturer OK'd using the counterclockwise grips on our clockwise lift.
