How many of these are there? The only one i've heard of is at Kelly Canyon!

That is the ONLY one! I would love to learn about the company's history though.

The only history I know about this lift is that it came from Sundance, UT.

Sorry for digging up old topics but I found some information on Hjorth and though people might be interested in it and instead of digging up old topics, might as well just add to this one.

Anyway...

Hjorth Brothers is still in business as a machine shop near Provo Utah (Mapleton to be exact) that today specializes in pipe bending and other fabrication. Anyway years ago (in the 60's) they were hired by ski resorts to build the parts for lifts that others engineered. This led to the creation of the lift at Sundance that then was relocated to Kelley.

They were only active in the industry for about seven years before going on to do other things.

That was all I was able to find out but at least it's something, and it's always interesting to learn anything you can about old lift manufactures.
