It's not much, but Buck Hill has their new map and new website up. http://www.buckhill..../trailmap.shtml. The only changes are the removal of the J-bar and beginner rope tow. They were replaced with a magic carpet. They also are working on the covered ski bridge for beginners that will cross over a run. Very cool idea.

a 850' carpet, built on a bridge...like Keystones tubing, thats crosses the trail area it serves.

I know. I drove past and it looks like they're moving along with it.

The new trail map for PCMR for 08-09 is up. Interestingly, they don't plan to remove the Ski Team lift this summer. It shows the new Crescent HSQ's alignment squeezing around the old Ski Team base on the map.

They probably won't use the ski team lift this year even though it is still on the map. It is probably in "standing storage" where they will leave the lift where it is until it is sold.

They didn't run it too often before the new lift was in either. I doubt it'll ever run this year. The construction on the new lift looks like it's moving really slowly though. There's no sign of anything but dirt moving around at the base area. The line was but and footings went in, but that's it as far as I know

Hey guys,

I modified the Grouse map to show the new lift configuration for this winter:
http://www.skimap.or.../1221062831.pdf
I can't say I like it but what can we do now?
I have pictures of the construction also, hopefully they will be up on Skiingbc.info soon.

Is tree skiing possible off the new Burnt Ridge Express or will it only be accessed by the two trails?

I see Palmyra got renamed Polar Queen. Anyone know why?

Perhaps to avoid confusion with the Palmyra Peak terrain.

Yes, along with the three new trails, there will also be three new glades. However, gore is pretty good about letting you ski where ever you want, so their should be allot of exploring to do. I cant wait to ski Burnt ridge this year.

From Dave Riley's blog: "We did rename Lift 5 to Polar Queen because the name "Palmyra" really didn't make sense especially now that the real Palmyra Peak is managed and open."

Good. The old map was hard to read and unattractive.
