For sale is an ASC Stock Certificate, issued in Dec of 1999, of 100 shares. This company was formed in late 1999 with an IPO of about $18. In spite of great fanfare, intentions, promises and aplomb, the value plummeted like a lead balloon, taking hundreds of thousands of investor dollars to the black abyss. You now have a chance to own a slice of skiing Americana, "An American Dream Gone South". Perfect for a ski-house wall hanging, your skiing memorabilia collection, dartboard background, TP, or starting your next barbeque. Thanks for taking this painful memory off my hands!

What do you mean American dream gone south. The only dream Les had was to the the largest ski area consortium in the world. He achieved that dream and did not come out penniless I have to believe. The only people that came out on the short end are people who invested in Les's dream, and he most likely thanks you.

Well... I doubt very much that the course that ASC ended up on was what Les had envisioned for this company... he may not have ended up penniless, but not sure that making money was his only goal. I would imagine that everything that went down with ASC was heartbreaking.
