Just looking on Google Earth, I noticed that almost all ski areas in British Columbia are almost directly south facing. The one notable exception is Whistler, which is north facing. Does it not make a difference at that latitude on which face the ski area is located or is there some other reason for having almost all of the ski resorts face south?

High-Five. Sounds like a great place to follow the sun in the spring.

If you get lots of snow and don't worry about sun rot, it means you get the sun all day.
