I have a few Squaw Valley questions that someone may be able to help with...
1. Silverado was installed sometime in the '90s and is a Yan triple. It appears to be relocated by Doppelmayr. Was it the Super Squaw or Lost Lake triples relocated or was it from somewhere else?
2. The Exhibition-Searchlight lift is an early '90s Doppelmayr quad. I think it was new then but it is not in the installation surveys anywhere. Why?
3. The Papoose double (also called Red Dog before the name was transferred to another lift) used to be longer than it was when it was replaced by the Far East Express. Was it just shortened or was a whole new lift put in? It was always a double.
4. The Lost Lake triple ran parallel to the Squaw One Express/Super Squaw Triple liftline. When was it installed and removed? It was installed sometime between 1986 and 1990 and lasted until sometime after 1990. There is a 1989 Yan triple of about the right dimensions in the installation survey but it is not in Yan's installation records. It does not seem right that a triple would be installed in the same year as Squaw One Express because they are parallel to each other.

Old Super Squaw - Yan triple to replace Cornice One to get skiers to Lost Lake (Wally's Pond) (father-in-law r.i.p.) to reach C-2 and Headwall
Kelly could help with these questions also.

Thanks Outback, that is helpful. However, It would make more sense that Silverado was the Lost Lake lift relocated since it was a Yan triple. Could the Shirley Lake double have become the Papoose double in 1989?

Also Skier please try the search function for more info as it has a wealth of information...
I posted this in 2004 about Lost Lake – Wally's Pond

I meant Silverado, not Siberia, sorry. Thanks for that link, I wish I had found it before. Unfortunately, the search function works in a way that when I typed "Lost Lake" into the search box, it gave me everything with "Lost" and everything with "Lake "in it, which was 12 pages of threads.
