Can combined lifts only be detachables?
What companies make them?
Any Photos?

The only way this would work is if it was a Fixed Grip Pulse Chondola. It has not been tried that I know of but it seems possible.

Why would it matter if it was a pluse? It would have to be extremely slow to get into the gondola in the station.

Why couldn't they of come up with "Global Cooling"?

Because no lift could realistically run at Gondola loading speed of less than 1 m/s.

Glencoe Ski Area in Scotland have been looking at the possibility of doing this on their fixed grip double access chairlift. it may come to nothing due to technical issues, but the idea was it would be a stop gap thing for a few years while they try to secure finds to build either a large cabin gondola or funitel (This place gets serious wind!)

The plan is to put a number of four seat gondola cabins on the line with two or four groups that would work as pulse movement, but between them the normal chairs would remain and the lift would run at normal speed between the gondola pulses. If that makes any sense what so ever! Thus skiers could ride the chairs, but sight seers or skiers on a wet day could get a gondola if they wanted.
