The first bit of Skimap.org is open to the public:
A Google Earth add on showing maps at geo-tagged ski areas, in a timeline format.
This way, you can see maps in a geographical sense, and only look at maps from certain years by using the Google Earth timeline feature.
Just click on the link below, and open the file in Google Earth 4.1 or later.
http://www.skimap.or...apstimeline.kml
Note: only a fraction of the maps are shown on this add on because many ski areas still haven't been geo-tagged. Thanks to Skier for his massive geo tagging efforts.
Enjoy!

Just a quick update.
The website will be launching tomorrow on time, probably sometime between 12pm - 3pm PST. There is now 1857 maps on the website, and of course, we welcome you to add your old/new ski maps when you come to the website. Note: to add maps and ski areas to Skimap.org, you will have to be registered on the Skimap.org/Chairliftinfo.com/Skiingbc.info forum.

Thanks guys, but please thank skier even more because he added almost all the US maps and ski areas, and a lot of the Canada map. Thanks SkiBachelor, that was fixed. We are working on distinguishing lost and operating ski areas.

Great website! I'm not sure if there is a single place to note errors so I'll post them here:
The second map is boyne mountain, not highlands on this page http://www.skimap.or...area.php?id=407
