Probably Poma, they have a bunch of other Poma lifts and no Doppelmayrs

This will be quite interesting because Powdr has a relationship of doing business with Doppelmayr CTEC, but as you said Tyler, Killington consists of mainly POMA technology.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. All of the express lifts and Gondis are Poma. Anybody know where you can find a scheduled lift list? Doppelmayr's site is vague at best. My guess is it will be doppelmayr.

From Killington:

For the 2008-09 season, Killington will debut $8.4 million in on-mountain improvements, including the new Skye Peak Express, offering improve access to intermediate cruising terrain on Skye Peak and Bear Mountain's premiere terrain parks, including some of the best free skiing/riding trails and glades in the East.

Vail Resorts has bought Doppelmayrs for Beaver Creek and Heavenly and Pomas for Breckenridge and Vail, so POWDR might stick with what they already have. Or maybe they can get the bulk discount if they also buy the Motherlode HSQ for PCMR, which will definitely be a Doppelmayr CTEC lift

Off topic, I know but...
Vail Resorts Company, I believe, allows the resort to choose the manufacturer. They have some say in it too, however. Beaver Creek uses the Euro style Dopps because the crowd at Beaver Creek pays top dollar and come from all over the globe. Same with Vail, but Vail doesn't have a goal to be that fancy! Breckenridge uses L-P because of the cost, and because of all the others on the mountain. Heavenly uses Doppelmayr because of price, and abundance on the mountain. Keystone is sticking with Doppelmayr because they were not very satisfied with Ruby, I believe.

Sry it was off topic!

My guess would definately be that it will be a Leitner-Poma because the only thing Dopp at Killington is the gear box on the Canyon Quad.

Why wouldn't keystone be satisfied with Ruby unless I missed something? Keystone hired Doppelmayr to replace the River Run Gondola because Doppelmayr gave them a better deal as they will remove and "part out" the old Von Roll.

This is off the topic too but Beaver Creeks new slogan is "Not Exactly Roughing It"

I have not heard of any specific dissatisfaction regarding the Ruby, do you have any specific evidence of this?

I heard that they were getting D-CTEC because they were going to buy back some of the Von Roll parts. Now that we're :offtopic: :dots:

Yes that is one of the reasons that has been given for the decision.

I can't remember where I heard it. It, of course, should be taken with a grain of salt.
