Aspen Skiing Company is overhauling its Silver Queen this spring and installing a new control system for it. Lietner-POMA has been hired to do the necessary work and its supposed to be completed before the summer tourism season begins.

It's strange that ASC didn't do this when it purchased the CWA cabins two years ago.

It sounds like most of the work is on the stairway and entrance. There were some small modifications when it received new cabins. It got a new cadencing system that year too.

I never said anything was wrong with it, Jeff, just commenting on all the upgrades that lift has had lately. It's also had its gearbox and drive shaft rebuilt, replaced the drive bullwheel, and I imagine they'll start on the grips any time like the rest of us who have that vintage.
