Not a resort we hear much about, decent skiing (while its open) still has that "Old" feeling to it

I used to ski there every year. Up until 2003. Personally it's a great place to learn to ski at. :)

I loved Powderhorn when I was there two years ago, there was alot of great terrain off of the West End lift but the only downside was that the main quad was very slow but yielded long runs.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Anyone know if you can unload at the midstation on the main quad? We're probably going there in April and that's the only lift we as a family can currently ride. According to the trail map there are a few beginner runs from the midstation but it doesn't say whether it's a load, unload, or both station.

Really great little area! I student-taught in GJT and worked 1990-91. Slow lifts, but neat location with a lot of north facing snow; open and tree skiing.

Hey, by the way, Cathy and I are sitting in a motel in Midvale, UT, planning on going to Snowbird tomorrow. Anyone here out there?:-)

We've only got today to play, then I'm getting some marine ply at MacBeath's and Cathy wants to hit Zim's crafts before we head back to Jackson.
Any of you folks planning to be at RMLA in Grand Junction in May?

Did you do something to your boat?

I want to go to RMLA, is Chuck getting the ball rolling for us?

Hey Jimmy,
the dory is fine, just got some other projects requiring good wood...
RMLA would be fun, don't think the corp is going to help with it if we want to go this year though.
Snowbird was fun today, lots of laps in the sun, had to get my "tram" fix...
