The new Dakota lift at Big Sky opened yesterday. The lift services terrain on the south side of Lone Peak that was formerly back country access only. The opening was short-lived, as patrol shut it down at about 1:00 because of avalanche conditions (a small slide was triggered). I have'nt been back there yet but my roomate and buddies were back there yesterday and said that it was some pretty good terrain. Ill try to get some photos.
