Maybe if you could provide us with some background information about this particular ropeway and what you currently have in place, we can help you out.
For Example:
Do you have a lift maintenance crew in place?
Will the lift have any mid stations?
What's the hourly capacity of this lift?

We have 10 operators on during the day. Three check tickets, one does "point" (counts people and points them to which cabin to load), usually two people to load skis into the racks, another watches from the lift house and is ready to hit a stop if needed, then we have two at the top station to unload skis and hit the download button for passengers riding down the gondola. These guys rotate through positions every half hour so they don't go insane. At night we have four operators on, two at the bottom and two at top, and these guys generally stay at the same position for the duration of their shift. We also have four technicians although we're not all here at the same time. For instance, I work alone Wednesday and Thursday so if I run into trouble, I will call lift maintenance to give me a hand or respond to the return terminal. There is always two of us here for night operations however. We are currently understaffed, we want five techs and one helper to cover shifts and maintain the machine in the off seasons. (we run summer and winter). Hope this helps.
