They got at least a foot last night out of this storm in Utah too, it would have been more if it was a little colder. It was really wet and heavy, and we spent an hour digging the car out of the driveway at 5 in the morning to make our flight back. More is coming. They needed it out there, it got hot the last couple days and a whole lot of twigs and rocks were showing through

We got 15" and it was the same kind of heavy snow that Utah received. Snowed a bunch in the terminal too!

When I left PC this morning at 4:00, there was already between 6-12" of the heavy, wet snow. It was a pretty bad drive to the airport driving on the unplowed roads. Several traffic lights were out. It was snowing hard in PC (even with some lightning!), but it started to turn to rain as we got closer to the airport. Once at the airport, though, the winds shifted and the temperature dropped rapidly, so it started to snow. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours due to the snow. We were de-iced once, and ready take take off, but then they closed the runway we were supposed to take off on. We taxied to a different runway, but then the airport closed due to snow. Around 30 minutes later, the snow resided, but no airplanes took off since the runways were still being plowed. Another half hour later the airport re-opened. After being de-iced a second time, we actually took off.

It was a very crappy morning, but at least I got home and the PC resorts got some snow (which they need since a bunch of it was so windy this past week-- tons of rocks exposed at the top of Lady Morgan at DV and some pretty bad cover at the top of Wasatch as well).

Floridaskier, did you get stuck at the airport while it was closed, or did you get out of there before that happened?

On a somewhat unrelated note, every time we leave PC, it always snows. Every year. :(

No, we had a pretty early flight and we were delayed on the plane but at the gate for about an hour, then we got de-iced for about half an hour and made it out at about 10:15 for an 8:45 flight. Once we got the rental car out of the driveway, the rest of the trip was comparitively easy. It was snow mixed with rain from Kimball Junction to Parley's Summit, but the rest of the way in it was hard Dippin Dots snow that accumulated a lot on I-80 and made it pretty hard to see and hear. It was much colder at the airport than it was in PC. We got out though, and on top of that we even made our connection in Atlanta.

This should make some even more fun avalanche conditions in Utah, with a foot and a half of wet stuff on top of the fluff they got last week. PCMR triggered a slide on Treasure Hollow yesterday, a blue run right near the base

You people all suck :bangin: we've gotten every storm that you mention, except that we get no more than 3" out of each wave. Not that I've had any chance to go skiing, mind you, but the idea of a big dump is still pretty nice.
