Power Mac G4

today i went into a computer store and i saw a power mac g4 running OS X tiger for $189.99.
should i buy???
i think its a good deal but i would like to get some opinions of owners of said computer.

What speed G4 was it? If you are wanting to do any photo or video editing I would highly recomend that you get a processor no slower than 1.5Ghz and plenty of ram or the ability to upgrade it. Also make sure that the room that you put a g4 powermac in is well ventilated as they do have a tendancy to overheat. Despite that problem they are truly a great computer they just need certain conditions to perform properly.

No matter what speed it has, G4 and other PowerPC processors are now obsolete in Macs, they have been replaced with Pentium processors. Newer applications will soon drop PowerPC support.

189.99 is still a good deal, though.

I have one of those at home as a desktop. It works fine!

My MacBook Pro laptop is much better but costs 10X more.......

i runs great and i like alot more than my windows computer
