Hey - have a heart.
There are three roads to ruin; women, gambling and technicians. The most pleasant is with women, the quickest is with gambling, but the surest is with technicians. Georges Pompidou

As long as we are on this topic again, does anyone know how the construction on the new chair 10 is coming along??

From what I understand, they have the towers in and the terminals. They are doing internal work on the terminals.

Way old topic, but I was thinking about the old Chair-10 the other day while driving past Vail and thought about the video that was posted by the idiots who tore apart the old Lift-10 in a rather.. abusive manner. (as in beating the hell out of the equipment, screaming like idiots, and acting like a bunch of drunks. Seems that the video is no longer on youtube.

I may still have this video saved somewhere. I remember ripping it from Youtube. If i have it I will upload it to my HTTP server and supply link to the ones that wish to see it again.

I've got it on my computer as well but I'm really not sure what the point of re-posting it would be; it was taken down for a reason.

Unless they wanted to use the chair again, I don't see anything wrong with distroying it while taking it down. Maybe screaming like an idiot would be annoying but why not kill the lift if it's going to be scrap anyways?

Why couldn't they of come up with "Global Cooling"?

It seemed as though they were going out of their way to dismantle the lift in a destructive manner though. Instead of using the proper equipment, they were being excessively abusive and caused unnecessary damage to the equipment. Just because they were planning on scrapping the lift doesn't mean it should be dismantled in an impractical manner.

All I have to say is scrap is normally treated like scrap.

That is strange it was not able to be reused anywhere, it must not have been in good mechanical shape. Big Sky might have been interested
