I'm doing a paper on ski resort, where my main question is:

What is necessary to make a ski resort, and what extra features do you need to make it THE perfect place... Any ideas?

Btw. anyone knows how much a ski lift cost? (I'm aiming for a T-bar or some low-price chairlifts or something similar)

Thanks

http://www.boneyard.com usually has some older lifts for sale, you could use them for pricing.

Why is this threat moved? My main question was connected to ski resorts in general and not to skilifts. Please move it back

You say "My main question was connected to ski resorts in general and not to skilifts." This is why I moved your post to the ski resort discussion area because your post is about a ski resort enquire and not related to ski lifts where you first started this topic. Sorry for moving it, but I think this topic should be in the ski resort discussions forum rather than the ski lifts discussion forum, although I have moved it back for you. If this makes sense to you on why I moved it, I can move it back to the ski resort discussion forum.

Well, to build a ski resort, you first need to buy the land or get permission from any government agencies. Then you need to cut down a heck of a lot of trees for runs and lift lines. Then lifts. Then trail signs and all that. Then hiring ski patrollers, maintainance people, lifties, etc. Building at least a warming hut at the bottom with a ticket window and a bathroom.
It's a lot of work
