The early Doppelmayr detachables quads are able to run at which speed ??? I know that the ForeRunner Quad at Stowe is pretty fast for a 1986 HSQ. Looks like it goes over 4.5 meters/sec

What about Poma

Today, what is the fastest speed that a UNI-G Doppelmayr could go ?

A line speed of 5.08 was used on many lifts in 1988 from looking at my installation sheets.

I don't think any faster than 5.5 m/s is used. Thats getting prety fast for a chair! Though the Phatboy Sunshine gondola runs @ 6.1 m/s which i beleive is probably the upper limit of these terminals.

Poma, at least, used that as their design speed from the early days. The Flyer (1986), Summit @ WP (1985) and Pioneer @WP (1986) all have 5.08 in their profiles. Just for convenience's sake- 5.08 m/s = 1000 FPM.
