DOPPELMAYR CTEC PRESIDENT, JAN LEONARD, RETIRES
SAM Magazine--Salt Lake City, Utah, October 2, 2007--As of yesterday, October 1, the president of Doppelmayr CTEC, Jan Leonard retired from his position.
Leonard has worked in the ropeway business for more than 35 years and oversaw the merger between Doppelmayr and Garaventa/CTEC in 2001. Leonard will continue his association with Doppelmayr CTEC and the industry as an independent ropeway consultant.
"There are so many other ideas, both at work and play, that I would like to pursue and this move will give me the opportunity to do them," says Leonard.
Replacing Leonard as president is Mark Bee, former executive VP of the company. Bee has 18 years of ropeway experience, first with Von Roll Tramways, and then as president of Doppelmayr USA until the merger.

I quote myself here:
"I have difficulty mustering any respect for this person. For me, he has always been one who has stood on the backs of genius and taken undeserved credit. Show me an original idea he set forth."
In a weak moment, I feel I went too far with this.
While my wetware connections relating to this subject remain intact, I most definitely owe Mr. Leonard - and those close to him - an apology.
I do apologize - for having said what I did in an inappropriate place.

There are three roads to ruin; women, gambling and technicians. The most pleasant is with women, the quickest is with gambling, but the surest is with technicians. Georges Pompidou

Emax,
You did not go to far. Youi are expressing your views / feelings. ;)
Just remember that it does not matter what people think of you. You are who you are.
