[Skiing#1]

No snow here in either Salt Lake Valley or the mountains. Past week, the temperature was hot as 85 to 90. Summer time had only two small showers, and only one day heavy raining (I was out of town at this time). It looks like drought. I hope a big plenty of snow this winter!!!

Unconfirmed, but I think Loveland began blowing last night and will continue tonight...saw the cloud on a webcam early this morning and this week, the lows will be cold cold cold-at or under 30 every night

Yep they did a test blow on thursday and began full snowmaking last night.

Crystal just got their first dusting yesterday! Snoq. will get it friday due to the snow level going down to 3500'.

where's ours?? Send some of that weather down south! On the other hand, I don't want snow on the ground when I start learning to drive a ten-wheeler semi!! We're at 4000 feet on the valley floor.

I can't get excited about the first snow of the season. We still have so much work to do, snow is the last thing we need right now. Once the lifts are all inspected and ready to open, it can snow every day (and I hope it does). But, until then, I'm hoping for a mild autumn that drags on for at least another month.

I agree with ya. I'll be learning to drive all over again and I don't wanna do it with snow/ice on the ground!! I had my DMV physical last week and I'll be taking the written test in about three weeks, after I finish my current job and go on vacation.

Alpental just got their first snow of the year. Looks like it might be a good season! Three in a row.

As I write this it is snowing in town in Breckenridge, no noticible accumulation yet though.

There was about an inch on our side of the range this morning, sure made for a slippery drive in. Doesn't make grip inspection easy, either (L-lift, fixed Poma)
