Yosemite, California. That spot's about an hour's drive from my house in the park. Glacier Point's a GREAT place to stargaze. You can see the actual Milky Way, as you're 7,200 feet above sea level and there's no glare from city lights.

Right here:

Yosemite Jobs

You have to work here to live here. We're always hiring. Housing is one of many benefits we get. I live a five-minute walk from work. In the winter they provide a bus to Badger.

Thanks, I may have to seriously think about that! I think my 89 lincoln could make it across the country if I brought along a few quarts of oil. hehe!

we always need people and there's both seasonal and year-round positions. I used to be seasonal when I worked at another ski area and decided to stay year-round when they built the new housing. And we also have a union.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

No I'm not just lucky enough to get the chance to fly up front on the flight that I took back to town. I dont have a license but I do have about 10 flight hours racked up and hoping to get more very soon.

For anyone interested in the type of plane in the picture it is a DeHaviland DHC-3 Otter, originaly a radial engine but has been upgraded with a turbo-prop and updated with dual gps as well as radar, It also has recieved the sightseeing windows as well for the main cabin with the wide glare free windows.
