My God. What has happened to the perception of this wonderful instrument?
One should not abuse the thing, but encourage beauty from it. Properly handled, it can speak lyrics without the use of words.
If it has a solid body and depends entirely on electronics, it is not a guitar but the invention (by Les Paul) of a different device. It is no more a guitar than a "keyboard" is a grand Wurlitzer.
Frankly, I find more musical content in the average vacuum cleaner.
