Im a little disturbed over our recent phone conversation.

I had asked Jan if there was anything I could be doing to help his project because I am in need of some work. He said that he would contact you. But speaking with you regarding this contact, I gather that the excuse for my involvement was the lack of professionalism regarding your work. I cannot agree to this.

We all have our areas of expertise. In any given project that involves the both of us, I cannot effectively perform without you. Perhaps the opposite is true, but I am not convinced of that. If I were you in this instance, I would be offended by Jan's suggestion. While I know from experience that we can perform extraordinarily in this teaming, I am non-plussed by this notion. Some folks understand the details - while others understand the presentation. There are no "wrongs". You should know that I know that I could not have done many of the things that others consider "my accomplishments" without your input. I cannot accept Jan's diminishment of your work as an invitation to forward his current goals.

I agree that "getting us all together"- before it's too late - is a worth-while thought. We have all shared something that few others could hope for. A re-union of the participants of such an experience is decidedly in order but mostly, for the purpose of reunion, and not for competition. I love to work with you on projects. I would not in any way wish to compete with you.

If this is to be a team effort, then I'm in. If not, then I'm willing to continue as I have for the last 15 years - obscure and inoffensive to the electrical revolution.

Jan has always been a "people mover". He has placed us in positions that inspire, motivate and reward. He is a born leader - but do not forget that he also manipulates us.

My passport will soon be in order and I will contact you when I can travel. I look forward to seeing you again and perhaps working on this new project.

Footloose

There are three roads to ruin; women, gambling and technicians. The most pleasant is with women, the quickest is with gambling, but the surest is with technicians. Georges Pompidou
