It's interesting that Revelstoke and Snowmass both decided to go with fixed grip quads instead of detachables like they planned.

I think Revelstoke's is a typo. It says Omega so I think it is a detach.

I am excited to see Doppelmayr's list now. There were no surprises on this one! I count 27 completely confirmed for Doppelmayr CTEC, with others possible.

I never received an e-mail from Caryn about all of Doppelmayr CTEC's 2007 installations for some reason. Maybe it's because the list is still growing or she was no longer in charge of that stuff prior to her departure.

Not sure what the plan is here in Crested Butte, they have already taken the chairs off of Gold Link, but nothing else.

It is easy to tell that Revelstoke's chairlifts is a detachable based on the size of the motor they are going to use. 800 HP is way too much for a fixed quad. Likewise it is easy to tell that snowmass' lift is a fixed grip based on how small it is.

Maybe they are just planning on extensively repairing the lift instead of replacing it or are installing a used lift. Are the chairs lined up at the bottom or have they been taken away?

However, the Assay Hill lift at Snowmass was listed last year on LPOA's list and it consisted of mostly used parts.

Gold Link's haul rope was being NDT'd. Almost everyone with a Poma fixed-grip lift of that vintage is doing it, there was a service bulletin about it last year some time. Not sure of the exact cause, I just know that it's a very tedious project rom the carrier removal to the actual NDT.

They're probably not going to completely replace Gold Link. They're going to replace the chairs drive, and maybe line gear, and keep everything else the way it is.

K- NDT '06, failed, new rope. L- NDT this past week, passed just fine for a 26-year old rope. I believe it even came from the same spool as the old one off K, but lower cycles and less hours mean less wear.

If you look at the lift installation surveys on Skilifts.org, this should answer your question.
