This summer, two lifts will be installed at Brian Head - creating the long-awaited "interconnect".
Chair #1 will be re-installed (across highway 143) and chair #8 will connect from there to a point midway down chair #2. Next summer, chair #2 will be replaced with a HS quad.

These improvements are just the beginning of a new expansion plan that includes 1500 acres of new ski-in / ski-out real estate near chair #5.

The lifts are all doppelmayr.

While most of us can probably agree that skiing down runs with homes on both sides of us ruins the solitude experience, ski resorts do have to get a return on their investment and real-estate is the quickest and easiest way for them to do it. I don't have a problem with ski in ski out real estate if it's in its own secluded area, but some ski resorts have really capitalized this concept like Deer Valley.

When you say chair #1 is being re-installed, where is it coming from?

Bad wording on my part. The path of the old lift #1 (removed years ago) is being followed (more or less) by a new Doppelmayr. No "re-installations".
