Photo #7 looks like the T-bar is in the air. Or does the cable slack when loaded?

What I want is pictures of C-7 before its Gold Hills days. Back when it was C-7 Bullion Basin...

Not old, but these photos give a good overview of the lost lift and terrain:

Looks like some good terrain there, especially on the East Peak area.

I'm guessing you've never heard of a T-bar before. It is a fixed-grip surface tow capable of carrying two people. The 'T' hangs off a rope which is wrapped around a spring-loaded spool, which is in turn attached to the haul rope with a smaller version of a fixed chair grip. The spool, or springbox, does indeed retract the 't' off the snow when it is not in use. Allan works on one and has much more detail than I have.

Skier- where did you get the photo of the old Gold Hills T-bar? It was there when I first skied Crystal, but I was pretty little and I don't remember it at all.

I was the one who posted pictures 4, 10, and 11 (the ones of miners basin and shots from the old Gold Hills T-bar) posted earlier thread. I took them on a sunny spring day in 1973. I also have a few shots from Quicksilver taken the same day. I posted them on this forum three or four years ago.

Do you know where the photos were? I did a search and could not find them.

I posted them on this board several years ago. If you can't find them here, shoot me your email address and I'll send them to you.

Does anyone have any semi recent photos of Ski Acres with the old Alpine and Bonanza chairs? I have looked for a long time but have had little luck, thanks.
