I like night because there are less people. But less runs are open.
Day or Night?

Anytime I can go is fine with me. There aren't many outlets for night skiing in Colorado. There's just Keystone and Echo. (Howelson might still have night skiing.) It's so much fun riding on Montezua in the middle of the night while it's in the woods. You can't see the tower ahead of you. But the problem is that most of the mountain is closed at night. It is the best time to do cruisers.

Snoqualmie Guy, why are you starting all these polls asking us to choose run ratings, types of runs, time of day? I think it is kind of stupid to ask all these questions when skiing is all about variety.

Skiing at night and during the day are fine for me. I am from Minnesota where night skiing is something to do at almost every ski area in the state. It is a major money maker for ski areas here. I like to ski the day though too because it allows you to see where your going better and there are less crowds at Minnesota hills. All of the crowds come at night and that's why many lifts at ski areas here don't open until 4:00 on weekdays.

I think that most areas in Cololrado don't have night skiing just because of the cost. It takes more energy at Keystone to run 5 lifts and the lights than it does to run 20 lifts and no lights. And there's still only one tenth of the skiers at night as there are in the day.
