SANDPOINT, Idaho - A snowboarder has pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, for an incident in which he confronted a skier at an Idaho resort's terrain park.
Jacob William Whitaker, 18, was given a fine of $1,000 as punishment, but he will only have to pay $350 as part of a deal.
Whitaker has also been placed on probation for one year and forbidden from riding at the Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, ID during that time.
Whitaker, a snowboarder from Redmond, Oregon, got into a dispute at the resort last winter with a skier, who apparently cut him off as he made his way toward a tabletop jump.

A snowboarder at Vail will also be facing fines after hitting a young girl. So will the girl's father, who promptly assaulted the young man after calling patrol for his daughter. The girl apparently suffered only minor bruises.
