Boyne resorts have done a lot of installs and removals in house, but I don't know for sure.

I tried to call Brighton Ski Resort or email them or I wrote a letter and mailed it out to find out where old lifts go, or find out if they sell the chairs (I remember several years ago, they had chairs, it cost $250 and all sold) and where will a new lift be placed? No one answers the phone or email or no response letter. There is nothing I can do. Maybe I will go up during weekday if anyone is there.

I finally got answers from a live representative.

The Millicent Lift will be going to Crystal Mountian, Washington, a sister resort of theirs.
The Evergreen lift is older and will most likely be scrapped. They might be selling some
of the Evergreen chairs. They will notify you if that happens. A new hq lift will be replaced of
Millicent old lift.

What?! Why is Crystal going for the double chairs these days? Where could it go? Park N Ride is my guess, but it could be for Bullion Basin? That is a very surprising move.

Email sent to Crystal's main office, I'll post their response.

So much for all those high speed quad chairs, how big is the lift anyways? Could it possibly replace Miners Basin since it is nearing 50

They would not replace an old double with a slightly less old double, especially when it runs a few days a year.

I have a feeling this lift will be used as a ski in ski out lift.

Isn't that a YAN triple? If so, my guess is Park-n-Ride...

Ski in ski out from what??? I say Park N Ride. It is a 1974 Yan Double, 3,930' x 1114'

John, might your dad as a Crystal employee know anything about this?

They are going from proposing a 100 passenger tram and 8 high speed quads to building a couple doubles.

If you want a cheap chair for park n ride, you might as well buy the old silver queen chair since that is a Yan too.

They get it for free from brighton because it is a sister resort. Although Silver Queen would be perfect, fg quad, similar vertical and length.

From the Crystal Mountain Executive Office:

"Yes, Milli will be the Bullion Basin lift."

Bullion Basin was supposed to be a high speed quad and there is no way it will be successful now. It will wind up like the last Bullion Basin lift, with no one skiing it. I could see if it was a high speed quad, but intermediates will not go down there to ride an old slow double.

I am waiting for the parts from Jackson Hole to start arriving as the "new" summit tram!

So are they thinking now they are not having good enough numbers? As long as they can run the double at 550 fpm, that'd be good enough. Looks like the Bullion Basin move has failed. Still I wonder, are they going to try and aqquire Silver Queen for the Park n Ride?

So crystal isn't getting a new tram after all. No wonder why Superior was able to bid so low on it. Very interesting news to say the least!

That was a joke skiersage  However, I think something fell through with the Superior thing and I don't think they are starting the tram anytime soon.

Looking at the images that skier posted of the Bullion Basin area a few weeks ago, the terrain looks rather small and having a HSQ servicing the 2.5 runs would be overkill. For this area to be successful, more runs will need to be cut, but that doesn't look like an option.

I think its a waste to scrap Evergreen. Oh well, they always scrap lifts that old. It might not be entirely scraped, it Could end up just like Majestic did. It all depends on the management's need for a lift somewhere else besides where it curently is.

Hopefully somebody snagged that Lift Engineering plaque that was still fixed to the lift terminal.
