whats the point of having chairs and gondolas on the same lift? theyre both high capacity (6-pack and 8-person gondola) wouldnt people just go in the gondolas for comfort?

The one in Telluride is used by foot passengers and skiers, typicaly foot passengers are the only ones using the gondola cabins. Most skiers seem to not like the inconvenience of removing skis, I can see that in bad weather that it may be different but most skiers just ski onto the quad.
