Both our Yans have Safetronics systems that were installed last year. Our Halls are such dinosaurs that we can't even run 'em when the power's out! They're good lifts, just old. They use Wisconsins for APUs. The only thing the APUs can be used for is lift evacs when the power goes out. Our double Yan has a Chevy 350 and our triple has a Cummins APU. One of the things I like about Yans is the APUs are very easy to hook up. Here's a pic of our summit. I thought it was kind of unusual to have two lifts right next to eachother. The one on the right is one of the Halls. We only run it when we are very busy or when the triple is down, as it was for one day this year when a bottom sheave bit the dust. There used to be a Riblet where the triple is now. All of our lifts have names:
Badger (Hall double, built in '72) ....does not have slow controls
length 940 ft., vert 272 ft, speed 465 fpm
Red Fox (Hall double, built in '72) ....rarely runs
lenght 2945 ft., vert 565 ft, speed 450 fpm
Bruin (Yan double, built in '81) ....still has original Yan lever switches
lenght 1080 ft, vert 138 ft, speed 275 fpm
Eagle (Yan triple, built in '86) ....has air brakes
lenght 3350 ft, vert 570 ft, speed 450 fpm
you can probably tell by my screenname which one I work!
