Interesting,

More money gets poured into that resort than any other one down here.

Actually I think it's Deer Valley, then like Snowbasin. I'm guessing the reeason why Snowbasin is installing so much stuff is because Sun Valley is pretty much already built up so they just upgrade this mountain.

Snowbasin was just totally redone when Sun Valley bought it before the Olympics. I'm in CO right now with an incredibly slow connection, so I don't feel like waiting for it to download. How many lifts are going in?

i was there earlier this winter and from the maps it only looks like one new lift that goes from mid-porcupine to the top of john paul. im not sure about upgrading the little cat lift to an express though. its an extremly short distance for a HS.

There are actually some resort like Mt. Bachelor and Sierra at Tahoe that have beginner high-speed quad lifts. I know it seems kind of a waste, but these types of lifts don't cost that much to run like your normal high-speed quad. But since Sun Valley is pretty much done expanding and same with Snowbasin, that there is a good chance that the Little Cat Express lift will go in. It would also be the only beginner high-speed lift in Utah, so some people might go ski Snowbasin instead of one of the other top resorts near SLC.

The sunnyside high speed detachable triple at Alta services novice terrain.

Ya, but it's not really serving the real first-timer bunny hill, it's a main lift that serves easier terrain

Well I guess snow baisin could use the HS begginner lift thing as a marketing ploy but I don't know how that would bring more people to snow baisin from Salt Lake because they really are a ways from each other.
