So there were 5 chairs in the Red Pod right?

Red Chair
Redline
Big Red Express
Little Red Chair
Franzs Chair

My question is about the Little Red Chair. Was its liftline the same as todays Franzs Chair, or did it go more directly to the Roundhouse. Also, when was this chair removed? I am asking these questions because I am going to make an interactive map of the lift history on Whistler-Blackcomb for Google Earth so I need lots of info. Also wondering if there was a lift planned to the south side of Catskinner. I see a straight cut through the trees in Google Earth.

The Mueller gondola also ran the line of the Big Red Express I believe.

The bottom of Little Red was essentially the same location as Franz's bottom station. The top was at the location of the current helicopter landing pad just up from the alpine service building. I believe it was removed in '91 when Redline (Yan) was installed because it crossed that new lift line.
The cut line you refer to on Blackcomb is for the "new" Catskinner. I'm not sure if it will ever be built though.
There was never a mueller gondola up there in the Red zone, just from Creekside up to Mid station.

A couple more questions. Where exactly was the bottom of the old Gondola on Whistler? Was the Olive Chair to the left or right of it?(looking up the mtn). Did the old Green doubles do the same liftline as Emerald? Where was the platter in the Harmony/Blue area?

Thanks again!

Left, and the load was slightly up hill. Did the old Green doubles do the same liftline as Emerald? I believe the alignments are very close but don't quote me. Where was the platter in the Harmony/Blue area? Top was just below the Bomb hut on Pika's traverse. Don't know about the bottom.
Thanks again!

What do you guys think for this Harmony Platter lift? Line A looks more like a liftline but my references say the lift is 400m long and this is only 330m
Line B looks less possible but the length is correct. Neither have distinct bottom foundations which makes this all the more difficult.

I'm pretty sure the olive chair was to the right of the old Gondola when standing at the bottom looking up.

Hey WBSKI, I think lift line A is the best option, however one of the guys remembered that the big rock just up the road (dark spot in your google photo) was the anchor at the top. As for Olive, the more I think about it the more I think you're correct. What disapoints me is I worked at creekside for the 90/91 season and can't clearly remember how it all looked. Must be getting old I guess. :crying:

Weatherwise, Today (Sunday) is way worse than Saturday, and it wasn't very nice.

Was the anchor above or below the road?

Hey Rob, I noticed that the high alpine lifts on Whistler (Harmony, Peak, Symphony) are all closed today. Is it because of the wind; will they be open tommorrow?
A bit off topic I know...

Wind, Avalanche hazard and visibility. Tomorrow should be OK.

anyone know when the Valley T-bar was moved up the mountain?

The thing is looking good but I still have a lot of holes in the data.
