I have also designed some lift lines. The first one shows three lifts being installed. The two red lifts as is, and the new lift (in blue), which does not cross over the questionable land, and starts from about half way up. If this is possible, it would be a good solution, and I am sure I could get some investors for an extra lift. The secind picture shows only two lifts, the bunny hill lift (beginner), and the blue lift, which also does not cross the questionable land, and is possibly less expensive than having two lifts. Also... I have been in contact with the people who create the plastic run and lift sighs, and could order those, as well as help name the runs and lifts when the time comes :)

I can tell you this, it's going to be very hard to design this mountain because of the steepness of the slopess at the top. Buf if you had a map of the ski area's boundry, it would be easier to see what is possible with the resort.

Doesn't have a boundary line - maybe iceberg can help with that - but here's the relevant topo to give you a better feel for the lay of the land.

I'm not sure if Winter Park already has a taker for the 1978 Yan triple "Outrigger" lift but apparently that is due to be removed this Summer. This lift has served as a back-up lift during most of its tenure at Winter Park and was a very long lift (200+ chairs) 12 min ride although I do not have any exact dimensions at the moment. The lift has not been used at all since 1999. If you are still looking for used lifts, this might be a possibility. The main phone number is (970) 726-5514. Best of luck with this endeavour. I always enjoy the ski areas that exist solely for the skiing without all the needless glitz.

actually the lift was last used during the 02-03 season, but only for two days if I remember correctly.

Sorry about the the unattendence of this topic on my part anyway...

Attached is a map of the approxiamate boundaries. Bacisically the ridge is the limit although possibly at a later point in time it could be expanded past this point but everything behind the rigde is BLM land so once again you run into the problem of access. The money is the question now along with the demand. If my demand figures are right it should work but since I am just going on unsure assumption if anyone had any kind of formula or way to help on that it would be great. Also does anyone know if the old Eskimo lift that used to be at WP (the Yan that was later sold but never installed by Jackson Hole) followed the same path as the new Eskimo Express lift? (and Outback if you could PM me the stats on this lift it would be great). This summer I"m going up there to talk to the private owner of the land as well as survey it out more so updates will be a continual thing through the summer.

Opps. I'm away from the computer I have that map on but anyway the boundaries are on the rigde line as you can kind of guess by the lift placement and previous designs on the topic so look back and find those maps sorry about my mistake on not attaching the map mabey I'll be able to improvise and put one up soon with the boundaries.

Oh almost forgot. On your map skier2 I think the best layout would be your second one with out the long red chair. Remember I'm just putting those on as suggestions not as required or even heavily suggested lines. Something like what Cameron suggested I think would work the best although that short top lift may be something interesting if not now at least in the future.

The long blue chair would be the better one I think instead of the long red chair as the blue chair would take advantage of gentler slope at the top and still grab all the terrain the red one would pick up and since it would be easier to build it would also be cheaper to build which is a distinct advatage.

Yeah... I think the blue one that I made really takes advantage of the whole mountain. I designed it ti be that way, because otherwise there wouldn't be any easy terrain off the top...

I found a Riblet triple that's for sale for $1. It's just over 2000 feet long and was built in 1984.
