Any reason for that weekly test? When I was at Keystone there was no weekly test for Reverse. Summer maintenance was the only "test".

I would think that if you have the capability to run in reverse- and plan to use it in some instances- that you would have a written procedure for the task (just like running your evac) and perform the operation on some type of regular basis (Weekly? / Monthly?)
Fairly simple way to avoid the proverbial 'Chinese Fire Drill'. :helpsmilie:
If you're only going to use it for summer maintenance, all maintenance personnel should still be aware of the correct procedure.

We don't take operating any lift in reverse lightly. It truly freaks people out, and we don't want that.

Some years ago I installed a switch on a carpet that makes it run in reverse, which helps in morning de-icing, should that be necessary. Only once have I heard the operator could not resist an evil urge (very evil indeed), running the carpet backwards and watching little kids trying to get on at the bottom. :)

I've run our old Yan Base 10 double chair in reverse with the APU (small block Chevy and TH350 auto transmission) just to make rehanging chairs easier during summer maintenance.
