Dear Santa,,, please make the 'El Nino' bastard go away, please end the 2 weeks of 45 degree weather and rain. Christmas is coming and we have no natural snow ( and only 10 runs on the now corny man-made). How will you land your sleigh? a couple thousand skiers on 40 acres will make it hard for the Mrs. to have fun skiing. Could you please only bring some coal for the carpet manufacture for not yet fullfilling our order. Maybe you could find the truck that got 'lost' with the parts and supply that guy with a phone or GPS so he can find Michigan this year. Please send some cold weather down, NOW, and Ill pull the gun away from my(our) head(s). Thanks Santa, Jon
I hear maybe their will be 'some' snowmaking next week. This is the worst that any of us northern MI areas have gone into Christmas in recent memory. Still looking for X-Mas gifts, I would recommend a Sirius Satelite radio system. I was not a believer till I received one. Life without Howard and Bubba the Love Sponge (shock the pus!!) just would'nt be the same.
Merry Christmas, hope everyone has some good crowds, safe operation, and a eventful New Year. Think snow, cold and titties.

Dear Jon
The problem with being able to control weather conditions is that at least half of the population is always dissatisfied with you. This year, Vail paid me a handsome "gratuity" for providing them with favorable conditions. Well, they got their wish and you didn't - there's just so much snow to go around. Now, even they're not happy because they feel they got too much - stranding motorists on the highways and travelers at the airports. Next year, place your wish a little sooner and I'll afflict MN instead of some other place - but I warn you, be careful what you wish for.
I should tell you that the driver who was attempting to fill your parts order did indeed receive a cell phone from me. While talking on it with a bimbo at an upcoming truck stop - while driving - he crashed the truck. Your parts are now being gathered from a 1/2 mile stretch highway in Ohio. I'm told that most of them are still usable and should arrive sometime after New Years.
I'm happy to hear that you're putting that gun I brought you last year to some good use.
Merry Christmas,
Santa

Usually El Nino is very bad for skiing in the Pacific Northwest. The last time, in 04-05 mountains opened late (Crystal opened Dec. 11, but closed Jan 25th. They tried again with skiing up in Green Valley from Feb. 19th-27th, only to close again. They finally had 2 weeks of good skiing from April 2nd-17th.) Skier visits were down 75% from the year before. The next year (05-06) was an all time skier visit record. The interesting thing is that Crystal opened early this year, November 15th and so far there has been plenty of snow. 188" so far, with no snowmaking. I hope that the rest of your season will go better. Are El Nino years always bad there?
