Doppelmayr CTEC

From Wolf Creek's homepage:
"Due to circimstances beyond Wolf Creek‘s control the new Raven Lift will not be in operation for Thanksgiving. For more information on the opening date of the Raven Lift contact Jan Leonard at Doppelmayer CTEC, 801-973-7977."
It seems a lot of projects are not yet complete, and the Beaver Creek gondola has been put off until next summer after being half built.
Lifts not load tested (I think):
Symphony Express, Whistler
Raven Express, Wolf Creek
Peruvian Express, Snowbird
Beaver Creek Gondola
OHSU Tram
Tombstone Express, The Canyons
probably others...

The OHSU tram was scheduled to be load tested last week so I'm guessing that's done. I would also say Peruvian and Tombstone are finished since they're so close to Doppelmayr CTEC.

The splice was done a couple weeks ago so I don't know what the hold up is.

Weather. If a storm hits a resort where they need to use the mtn roads to acess the place where the lift is being installed, the resort needs to low the plow the road. If it's to cold to pour cement, or if the road is muddy, you could spend a full day trying drag trucks up hile with a cat.
Maybe they had problems during the intsallinon, or manufactoring of the parts.
All parts are transported via truck, to the site. Maybe the trucking company had problems. Or if the parts where built in Europe, maybe they had problems with customs.
Or maybe the install team was short staffed, and can only do so much. I would think , those who oreded thier lifts early last spring, would be in line to have thier built first, rather than those who ordered thiers in mid summer.

I was briefly at TC for opening day and while it looked like Tombstone had the haul rop up there were no carriers yet and I didn't see any when looking at their web cam yesterday. Shoudn't be too difficult to get to though, there are roads pretty much right up to the bottom terminal and it's just a few hundred vertical feet higher than the base area so snow probably won't be anywhere as bad as it would be higher up.

I totally agree. It's like waiting in line at a store. Is the guy in front of you going to go next or are you going to go ahead of him? Which is fair? I think it is fully the resort's fault. Doppelmayr can't be blamed for not getting those lifts done.

Dreamcatcher at The Canyons should be open soon enough, it looks like it's been ready for a while, just waiting on the snow

With Tombstone open, 9990 opened too
West Palm Beach, FL - elev. 9 feet
