I was just flipping through my November 2006 SAM and I noticed a really interesting picture on the last page. The focus was on the sign in the foreground, but I saw in the background and single-pole quad. It may even have had wood slats on the back. There was also an alpine slide. Does anyone have a clue about where this lift might be and how old it is?

There are actually quite a few center pole quads around the Midwest. That particular one in SAM is a Borvig, but I'm not sure which area it is at. Riblet made some of those too.

Yes. its a Borvig Quad and I am pretty sure its in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley at Wild Mt , Taylors Falls, MN. They have 4 Borvig Quads. Skiing in the winter, Alpine slides/water park in the summer. Summer 'footpassenger' speed is set by code, I believe for a FG quad its 180 f/m/ maybe 165? not a good time for me to remember exacts

What is the winter operation speed. I thought it was 350 fpm, but I could be wrong.

I'm referring to it in general. What does a modern FGQ run today?
