Yeah, I second the Breckenridge vote.
Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

Yeah that was the projected develpment of the peak 8 condos but they were unable to aquire that plot of land and there was alot of oposition from everyone in the existing neighborhood. I think that I have a master plan of the neighborhood somewhere, I'll try to find it if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Was that group of condos going to be serviced by a run? If so, would it have a lift too?

There was no plan for lifts but as you can see runs would be cut to ski back. The main expansion in that area was the instalation of whats shown in that picture and the area already cleared in the trees is the already developed neighborhood.

That is the proposed area plus taking out some of the homes on the uphill side of the street drawn in on that map but last I heard, as of 2 weeks ago it is not happening or will take many aditional steps before its even more than just an idea.

I was passing through Prince Rupert toady and found what I thiknk is the former gondola that served the ski area at the summit of Mount Hayes. A.R.M. had given me some information about the gondola and development in the past and I was also able to gain some knowledge arround town. The gondola was a Meuler and was removed due to a fire at the summit terminal, sorry for the poor picture quality, all I had with me at the time was my cell phone. It looks like the towers are now used for power or telephone lines. The cuts for the ski area are still very visable from town if you know what to look for. The road is not gated or posted no tresspassing but is a nasty access to the base of the lift, I would recomend that anyone seeking to vist it have a good 4X4.

Spacing on one side and crowding on the other. I wonder why they do that.

Well I noticed that chairs were offlined a few months ago so they must have been onlining the chairs.
