I think it would be done totally by now considering opening is only a few weeks away...
I am gonna post some of my construction photos on my site in the next few days.

We begun the splice today.. the weather was beyond s**t. There was a heavy rainfall warning for the area which produced just over 100 ml of rain along the past 24 hours.
The splice is goin alright and we should be done tomorrow mid day. We're probably going to have the rigging off by the end of the day. Top station is pretty much buttoned up: all the enclosure is in place and just some tinkering of the hydraulics, brakes and electrical for the drive.
Bottom station has some enclosure work to complete. We're going to start assembling chairs by the end of the week... Load test is tentatively for the 3rd week of November.

I may be going to Whistler for Thanksgiving. Any chance that the new lift might be done? I don't even know if there will be enough snow to open it anyways, but it would be nice.

Yup ... lift will be done and the load test will be completed by then. As for the amount of snowfall being enough in the Symphony area by that time, I really can't say.
But the good news is - the weather forecast is for a huge snowfall in the region. Maybe that will fill in some of the low spots. There's snowmaking going on from the Roundhouse to approximately mid mountain. The access into the Symphony bowl, both top & bottom is a bit of a trek from the Roundhouse. Maybe stay tuned to the snow report.

The whistler website says that "The new Symphony Express high speed quad construction is on track and the Grand Opening will take place on December 16."

Our schedule has Symphony and Harmony opening on Dec 2nd. I think the splashy "grand opening " is on the 16th. We got a pile of snow there yesterday. Should be a great opening.
