It's a computer game that is just like Roller Coaster Tycoon except instead of being based around an amuesment park, it's based around a ski resort.

ook, thats what i thought, and your right about ski park managger being a much better game, but mountain tycoon is going to blow it all away. mountain tycoon is better in that they have realistic lifts, groomers snowmaking, with graphics that are taken from real lifts, instead of graphics made up by developers to look like what they think a lift looks like. here is a link to the forums and more info.

its going to be free, as a download for anyone to use. however, the game is being done by designers in their free time, it is more as a hobby than it is to make money. which means the game has no real dead line and is going to take a long time. but hopfully when its done it will be a great product.

I own Ski Resort Tycoon, Ski Resort Tycoon: Deep Powder and Ski Resort Extreme already, and the HSQ's in Ski Resort Tycoon: Deep Powder look like real newer Poma HSQ's, and the Doubles look Poma, also.

MT Community,

Hello for those of you who don't know me I am the Head of the Mountain Tycoon project. I run the development studio for this game. To all those who have been following the game for a while now... sorry for the lack of news of late.

I am currently working at a well known video game publisher and my responsibilities here have caused me to put Mountain Tycoon on the back-burner for a while and due to that no major development has occurred on the game in recent months.

However recent events have possibly put us, being the MT Development Team, in the position where we might be able to actually form a real development studio and hire programmers and artists.

This probably raises a lot of questions in your minds and we will be releasing more information as we finalize things and have concrete stuff to report. Needless to say these next few months should be a very exciting time for Mountain Tycoon and everyone associated with the game.

So for now, keep your fingers crossed, and if everything works out we are going to have one sweet game!

Best Regards,
Mattlab

I like ski resort tycoon. The only thing that I wished they did was being able to build different lifts such as an aerial tram, bi-cable, etc.

SRT is on a poor scale; build a HSQ at Whistler and you'll know what I mean. They would have to rework the entire building/lift/mountain scale if they wanted an aerial tram or whatever to actually make since.

I still have Ski Park Manager, though I haven't played it in quite some time. Maybe I'll pull it out this weekend and give it another run.
