I wonder, what happened to the old F.I.S Lift? When was it removed, and why? Also when was it built? What does F.I.S stand for?

I believe that it became trash as it was old and needed to be replaced (2004 or 2005; replaced with a L-P double) but I am not 100% sure. It was built in the seventies and was a Riblet Double. Also, FIS stands for Fédération Internationale de Ski, or the international federation of skiing.

In that order:

The chairs were sold off and one of them is at the top of the current FIS lift. some of the moving parts were likely re-used on other lifts of the type at aspen. Other stuff like towers were more than likely scrapped.

It was removed two summers ago. This upcomming year will be the new ones third year in operation.

It was old and had problems among other things. I rode it one of the last days it was open and it was doing phantom stops the whole day. (like five time in just one ride)

It was installed in 1958

I am not sure what FIS stands for but I know that it is the organization that arranges the world cup of skiing and snowboarding.
