1000 straight days 34 million vertical

Record reached on slopes of Mt. Hood
Rainer Hertrich has earned a spot in Guinness World Records
Sunday, August 20, 2006
Rainer Hertrich loves what he does so much that he hasn't taken a day off since Nov. 1, 2003.
No sick days. No vacation days. He doesn't need them.
After all, Hertrich isn't stuck in an office or making sales calls. He's crisscrossing down another ski slope to keep his world-record streak alive.

I've met him... he's really cool... I've seen him on the lift at Mount Hood for the past 2 or 3 years.

I don't think he knows this site exists, so I think I'm safe to say that he's also the world record holder for most consecutive alpine turns on tele skis... none of his fellow employees can figure this out.
