I just thought everyone might like to know that Popular Mechanics did a two page article about the Roosevelt Island tram incident in the August 2006 issue and even has a few pictures and diagram of the Tram's mechanical system.
If your interested in purchasing Popular Mechanics August issue, hurry up since the September issue will be out soon.

I read it, it seemed pretty basic, but the diagrams were cool.
