From Snowjournal.com:
"OK, you lift nuts out there. Just got word that we are taking down the North Chair this summer at Cranmore.
We are moving its cable over to the East Chair. The North Chair building will remain standing (we use it for storage, offices, meeting space, etc.). We will probably sell off the 80 or so chairs so let me know if you are interested. From what I hear, the remaining parts are either unuseable or of no resale value (ie lattice towers, etc.) so we'll be removing the towers and cement bases as well.
This will greatly change the terrain/skiing experience on the Lift Line trail, for the better, as you come down Hurricane.
If anyone has any stories/information/history on the North Chair, I'd love to hear it. "
BTW, it is a Mueller double

there are pics of this lift on the site. If you look at the trail map, it makes sence that this lift is coming out as it parallels a doppelmayr triple and is likely not needed.
