With the aerial tram costs rising to $57 million, OHSU executives have promoted their willingness to pull out their checkbook yet again, digging deep for another $9.5 million to get the tram flying, they say.
"OHSU has stepped up -- again -- and offered to provide a substantial share of the new funding even though we aren't legally obligated to do so," Steve Stadum, an Oregon Health & Science University executive, said in a statement this month.
What hospital executives haven't been so public about is that more than half of the money will come from city coffers…
