Last summer, DoppelmayrCTEC installed lifts with all three types of chairs, the old CTEC chairs on some fixed grips, the old Doppelmayr EJ chairs on some detach and fixed grip lifts, and some of the new Garaventa chairs on both detachables and fixed grips. They even put some European chairs on the hs lift at Spanish Peaks. I thought they were not going to offer the old CTEC or Doppelmayr chairs, but both types keep showing up. Does anyone know what the deal is?

I guess if these carriers are still being used over in Europe, Doppelmayr CTEC can easily order them for their clients who want them here, even though they aren't listed on Doppelmayr CTEC's website.
A little off topic but I noticed that Doppelmayr CTEC only lists the UNI-G terminal to be used for eight packs and gondolas, while the UNI-GS is for high-speed quads and six-packs, making the client think they have to go with the UNI-GS for HSQs and HSS.

Here is the run down as explained to me last year. The Vail carrier or as it has been referred to as the Garaventa chair, was designed by Jan and is the main standard product. The EJ and later model E chairs are special order but available, the old style CTEC chair I had not heard much about most likely as special order product too. What I mean by later model E chairs is the European Doppelmayr Chairs; The chairs have the same bail style but different seats and backrests made from extruded aluminum... sounds expensive!
The terminals are funny because the uni-series lifts are mostly the same internally, technically you could rap a Gs Skin on a G and vice versa it could be that the Curved corrugated roof on the Gs line is not wide enough to be used on the larger lifts
