For the Yan pads that I was talking about, this picture shows them pretty well.

aren't those the old-style Yan carriers? Our Yan double has the same as on our triple.

Here is a picture of a Riblet center pole. I love the pads on the center poles because they are really comfortable!

This is the Bridge Chair at Lutsen, MN. The first day of the 3 I skied at Lutsen, the lifty on this lift was really old and nasty. He yelled at people for not loading 2 to a chair wheen there was no line.

i wouldn't say that their is a chair that is more comfortable than another, it really comes down to the padding. as far as the most relaxing lift i have ever been on would have to go to gores gondola, which i have taken power naps in on numerous occasions

The pads on the Riblets at Dodge aren't very comfy. As for single loading, that old guy sounds like a jacka**!! When we weren't busy I always let singles load!

I totally agree. I like the liftys who let the people load singles. However, I don't mind liftys who tell everyone to load the chairs capacity when the line is longer.

S lift at Copper was really nice before it got the CTEC carriers. It had nice springy pads. I must say that the old Yan chairs are quite variable. I rode Argentine lift at Keystone yesterday, and it was the most uncomfortable ride of my life. It's been more than a year since my last ride on an old Yan double, but they were better memories than that. There was hardly any pad on the seat and the backrest was jabbing into my back. It depends on where you go. Actually, Bar-UE at Steamboat has some of the best seats that I have ever been on. Another great lift if you get the time is Arrow Bahn (#17) at Beaver Creek. They put 2" pads over the foam seats, and I could just ride that lift up and down all day. But I still stand with my original response of Poma Omega Carriers. They're just like flying sofas.
