I would like to construct my lift for family use and expect to probably not have operators unless other people are using it. I am thinking that some sort of kill switch should be carried in the pocket or strapped to the outside of the arm in order to shut off lift in the event of a mishap. Is anyone familiar with a wireless setup of this nature? I feel that t-bars would be more difficult to load and attaching poma carriers would be safer. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I think Lift Engineering was able to create a device that was used as a wireless switch but I am not sure if this is something that is still used or if it ever was put into use.
As for swiching to platter style carriers, most of them have a bend at the bottom as seen in the below photo:

So you most likely would want to buy new sticks from Leitner Poma if you want to convert to platters. that is unless you would want to buy spring box platters from doppelmayr. as previously stated, those can be converted to T-Bars if needed. I would consider the use of the lift before making any decisions. For example, if anyone using the lift is a snowboarder, you will want it to stay a t-bar a it is possible to ride a t-bar sideways easier than a platter. also consider how many people are going to use the lift because if there is a small number of people then you can set a limit of one person to a T anyway.

We were thinking we would try and have a mix of t's and platters. There are 46 t's with the lift and part of the deal includes a dozen platters. The issue I feel is that the Hall C's ought to be used on the Hall lift, as far as clearance past the sheaves, cable size etc. Where the t's connect to the C's there are rubber bushings that provide movement but probably dampen the swing. We jury rigged a connection with a couple of pieces of plate steel and sliced the bushings to make it work. We are just wondering if there is a better way. I will send pictures later. As far as boarders go we would like to keep t's on the lift but still think the easiest and most foolproof loading and ride is the poma platter.
